Second Active School Flag Success!
We were awarded our Second Active School Flag in 2019 in recognition of our running initiative .
Our initiative was 'Running around Ireland'. Each class participated from our Junior Infants up to our Sixth Class. We ran a set distance over a period of time to 'run' around Ireland. This involved running laps around our yard (junior classes) or field (senior classes) . A lap was considered a 'kilometre'. Each class reached their target.
We were delighted to welcome Gillian O'Sullivan, a renowned race walker, to our school to help us raise our flag. Well done to all our children and staff and a big thank you to our ASF co-ordinators, Ms. McHugh and Ms. Morgan for all their work.

Running Around Ireland!
As part of our Active School Flag renewal process we are starting a new initiative to get our whole school running! The aim is for each class to 'run' to a city in Ireland. Each week each class will run as many laps as they can. These laps represent 'kilometres'. The more the class runs the further they get to achieving their target.
