Ryan Tubridy Visits Scoil Chroí Íosa
What a surprise we had last Monday when Ryan Tubridy and the Late Late Toy Show crew visited our school! Ryan had great fun with the boys and girls who did us proud with lots of jokes, questions and songs. He also enjoyed chatting to teachers and even had time for a few photos with some lucky Mammies waiting outside. We hope to feature on one of the documentaries which will air in the run up to the Toy Show. Such excitement for the children, a great event with memories created to last a lifetime. Well done to all involved!
Halloween Fun
We had a blast on the 27th October as we celebrated Halloween in scary style. All sorts of ghouls, monsters, dead brides and superheroes made appearances. Donald Trump even showed up, not fake news. We went to Blarney Castle on a spooky walk, bobbed for apples and had a disco in aid of Temple Street Children's Hospital. Our Monster's Parade in the Junior Building was a terrifying show while the kind students of Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal helped the Senior Building enjoy the festivities with face-painting and much more. What a great way to end a busy half-term.

Halloween Dress-Up Day
As Halloween approaches, we are all busy decorating our classrooms in a spooky manner. As we break for mid-term this Friday the 27th of October, we hope all our students will transform into vampires and zombies and all sorts of spooky creatures that day!
We are having a “School of Horrors” in aid of Temple Street Hospital this coming Friday 27th October. Children may dress up in Hallowe'en gear coming to school on Friday. Please bring a donation of €2 per child on Friday morning for this good cause. Please do not buy anything new especially for the day as any dress-up clothes that you have at home will be perfect.
