Spinathon 2023
We are pleased to announce that a HUGE total of €37,860.96 has been raised in our "Pedaling for a Purpose" Spinathon, which will be utilised to upgrade our school's technology. The funds raised will have a lasting and extremely positive impact on our teaching and learning at Scoil Chroí Íosa. Thank you to the fundraising committee led by the fantastic team of Liz Buckley, Keith Cotter, Ruth Carroll, Patricia Dunne, Ella Lynch, Irene O Keeffe and Sharon O'Connor. Each member of the group worked thoroughly as a team and lead as a team and we appreciate their trojan work over the last 8 weeks. The committee volunteered so generously of their own time in order to organise this massively successful fundraising campaign for our school, for the benefit of all our pupils. Their shared leadership Is very much appreciated by us all.

We even had a surprise guest appearance from soccer legend, Roy Keane.
Lastly, but certainly not least, a massive THANK YOU to all the boys and girls and the entire parental community of Scoil Chroí Íosa, who without your help and support, none of this would have been possible. Your children and our pupils embraced the whole fundraiser with amazing enthusiasm, encouraging the entire school community and Blarney Parish to get behind the Spinathon. They created an amazing "good feel" atmosphere participating fully in the Carnival Games on the day, visiting all the Spinning Stations, cheering on our "Spinners" and creating long lasting happy school memories for themselves, their classmates, school staff and families. We are extremely proud of them and applaud them for the wonderful persons they are - a huge credit to yourselves as parents and guardians. Congratulations and well done to everyone.
We are very excited to announce that the brand new shiny touchscreen interactive S.M.A.R.T. boards have now been ordered. They will be installed into all classrooms during the Summer holidays. Any additional funds raised, will be used directly to further enhance the school's technology and school resources.
Heartfelt thanks again to you all for your continuous support of our school. Home and School working together achieves great things. Ní neart go cur le chéile.
Kind regards,
Mary Magner / Ciara o' Callaghan
