Blarney Slow Down Day
- 'Blarney Slow Down Day' organised by Community Garda Seán Dwyer. The aim of the exercise is to promote awareness of road safety by motorists and pedestrians.

- Local Gardaí have informed us that several fines have been issued in recent weeks for speeding and breaking red lights on the Blarney Bypass.
- Mr. Damian Boylan chairperson of Blarney Joint Policing Forum welcomed the safety initiative. "The recent increase in traffic on Blarney roads highlights the need for increased investment in local road infrastructure. I would encourage everyone to slow down and be mindful of vulnerable road users".
