Parent's Association
Family Fun Fest!!!
We are delighted to be able to announce our final activity for this school year. The PA Committee has worked tirelessly over the past few months to have this idea come to fruition. It is sure to be a fun filled day for both kids and parents!
Clothes Collection
The PA arranged Clothes Collections in April & May. Bags were collected this morning (May 8th) and over 697kg was donated. Thank You to everyone who supported this by donating their unwanted clothing items. A Special Thanks to Ms Magner who climbed into the trailer this morning to help pull out the bags!! I bet the students were disappointed to miss this!!!
The Clothes Collection company we chose to partner with was 'Bag 2 School'. One of the factors in our decision was that they are a fund-raising charity partner of LauraLynn House. Bag2School pay an additional 10% to The LauraLynn House, on top of what was paid to our school.
LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice provides home-support, respite & end of life care, to children with life-limiting conditions. It's not a sad place; it's a place for living. A place of fun and laughter, enjoyment, love and support. While they cannot change a child's diagnosis, they can change the quality of a child's life and their families.

Sandbox
February:
The Parents Association are delighted to be able to present 2 Sand/Water boxes to the Junior and Senior Classes. These have replaced the outdated and irreparable boxes that were being used. The Sandboxes will last at least 10 years so it has been viewed as a great investment. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way to our Fundraisers as this could not have been done without your support!
We would also like to thank Jane & Stephen Forrest for their donation of a third Sandbox. This has ensured that all 3 junior classrooms are equipped with safe resources to enjoy.
Children playing with sand and water are practicing eye-hand coordination and using fine motor skills to scoop, sift, funnel, and pour. Also for Social and emotional skills, the sand and water centre provides important opportunities for children to practice cooperative play and sharing.

iPads
January:
The Parents’ Association are delighted to have been able to sponsor 5 iPads for our pupils this year. The iPads will be an incredible enhancement to learning in the classroom and will be in constant demand in all classes. This could not have been done without the support of the Parents, students and teachers who so generously donated their time and money into our fundraising events during the first term. A huge THANK YOU to everyone for helping achieve our main fundraising initiative for this year.
