2nd Class School Tour 2018
Our school tour got off to a great start with a famous double decker bus pulling up outside the school. We travelled to Cobh where we completed the Titanic experience, a truly wonderful experience which will help us with our history lessons. Afterwards we made the journey to Cuskinny where we had lots and lots of fun, from grass sledging to cooking in the wild to the mucky obstacle course and crazy camp songs.

Celebrating Science Week
Science Week is from the 12th -19th November. Today we had a look
around the school grounds and analysed the materials we found.
We found feathers, soil, twigs, rocks, small stones and even a shell.
We identified which materials were hard, soft, shiny, rough, bendy or crumbly.

Do This In Memory
The preparations for Holy Communion are well under way. We would like to thank Fr. Fitzgerald for a beautiful Enrolment Do This in Memory Ceremony on Saturday 21st of October. The children who attended with their families and friends were thrilled to be presented with certificates. We would also like to thank our parent volunteers who helped to co-ordinate the ceremony, it would have not been possible without them.
You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.
We loved our first trip to the library this year. We even discovered; a collection of fairy books, the biggest & smallest books in the library and a collection of trains from around to world. Thank you to our librarian Richard for his great patience and kindness.
Fairy Wonderland
Our school garden has been transformed for the fairies of Blarney. We would love you to visit if you have time, so shake the fairy dust and make a wish, the magic's in your hands.
Let's go on an adventure to the .....playground
National Tree Day
Children's Book Festival
We were absolutely thrilled to meet Ann Dalton who wrote and produced the audio drama 'The Adventures of the Stripy Pyjamas' in Blarney library on Friday 13th of October. Ann was very welcoming and even shared with us how the process of writing the story began. She taught us about the process of making an audio drama, we learned new words such as; cast, signature tunes, editor and sound effects. As part of the workshop we had opportunities to create our own illustrations for the story and additional dialogue but the best part was that Ann opened a mini recording studio for us in the corner of the library. We recorded our own stories and sound effects.
