Farewell to Rang 3!
Picture
Hello boys and girls, I hope you are all keeping well. I'm sure at this stage yourself and your families are slowly getting back to normal life. Hopefully you have seen a little more of your family and friends over the last few days. I would like to thank you all for being such a great class this year. I really enjoyed my time teaching you and am sorry that it was cut short. You were always very well behaved and interested in learning and we had some great times this past year. Among your class there are some brilliant sports people, musicians, actors, artists, readers, writers, scientists, mathematicians ......., the list goes on! You really are a talented bunch! I look forward to seeing you all again in September. Have a great summer!

Best wishes,

Mr. O'Leary.

Baking Halloween Cookies

Suggested work for school closure week beginning Monday 20th April.

Hello boys and girls, I hope you are all keeping well and have been out in your gardens enjoying the sunshine over the last few days! I have uploaded a file below containing work for the coming week. Do not worry if you do not have the correct copy books, it can be done in any copy or notebook.

Suggested work for school closure week beginning Monday 30th March.

Hello Boys, Girls and Parents,

I hope you are all doing well and keeping busy while we are out of school. Here are some suggestions for work for the coming week. As Ms. O' Callaghan said in her email the following work will focus on reading and fun activities! If you don't have all your copy books don't worry you can do your work on any notebook, copy or on sheets of paper.

Reading- Read At Home p. 87 - 91. Questions can be completed orally. There is a yummy recipe on p.87 that you could try out with the help of a parent if they have time. You will read about Brian Boru on p.88 check out the slide show below to learn more about The Battle of Clontarf which Brian fought in.

Maths- Khan Academy- I will be assigning maths work through this website, I will update you again when the work is uploaded. In the meantime follow this link to create an account
https://www.khanacademy.org/join/AGAKDMP5 please try and pick a username that includes your own name so I know who is who!

P.E.- GAA/ Fundamental Movement Skills- Check out our GAA coach Facthna here
https://twitter.com/GPOBlarn_Btown for daily challenges. I have included 5 days worth of challenges from last week in case you missed them.

Art- Build your own model Cork City! You will need access to a printer for this activity if you don't have one don't worry you could always draw the buildings yourself.

For more art check out Will Sliney here https://twitter.com/WillSliney?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor Will is from Cork and is a world renowned comic book illustrator . He posts a new drawing challenge everyday. Here is an example from last week. https://twitter.com/WillSliney/status/1242366391149264897/photo/1

Finally here is a long term activity that you might like to spread out over a couple of weeks. https://www.khanacademy.org/humanities/hass-storytelling/imagineering-in-a-box It is all about designing your own theme park, it has interviews and lessons from people that work for Disney World! There are 3 lessons and each one has 10 activities, try the first 5 activities in lesson 1 this week. Don't forget to watch the videos before completing the exercises.
