World Book Day
The girls and boys had lots of fun showing each other their books and dressing up as their favourite character for World Book Day! We had a busy day from playing Guess The Fairytale game to showing off their outfits during our World Book Day parade in the halla. We had books of all shapes and size, small Disney books, our favourite Rol
Engineer’s Week
This week learnt about the role engineers play in our community. The boys and girls then had the task of becoming mini engineers designing, building and testing Rapunzel’s escape route from her tower and a safety capsule for Humpty Dumpty when he was falling from his wall!
Pancake Party!
All the boys and girls worked very hard to get enough marbles in the class marble jar so that we could have a pancake party on Pancake Tuesday. Thank goodness they got the last marble we needed for lining up so well in the halla that morning!

After learning all about what keeps our bodies healthy, the children enjoyed a variety of fruits during our fruit party!
Houses and Homes
In January we had great fun making and learning about all different types of houses!
Postmen Hard at Work!!
Our postmen were very busy in December delivering all the Christmas parcels and letters!
Shapes
We learnt all about 2D and 3D shapes and had a great time making our own shapes using cocktail sticks and marshmallows!
Science Week
We had a very exciting morning doing Science Stations this week. Mind-blowing optical illusions, invisible ink, mesmerising magnets all had us amazed. The most thrilling of all was using a chemical reaction to blow up a balloon! Well done to all our super scientists.
Spooky Star Students 25th October
Paired Reading
We enjoyed paired reading with Mr. O’Leary’s 3rd Class. We chose any book we liked from the library and our 3rd Class partners read them to us. Our teachers find that shared learning experiences increase academic outcomes for us all!
